The day of departure and arrival may vary due to organizational issues!
First day:
At 06:00am we will set sail from the Bay of Algeciras and we will make a voyage of approximately 140 nm. We will cross the Pillars of Hercules and begin to cross the Atlantic Ocean. We will sail through Maghreb waters until we reach, more or less, the height of Casablanca.
Second day:
We'll continue sailing and, hopefully, fishing along the way. We usually average 130/140 nm a day if the weather is favorable and allows it; in 48 hours we will be at the height of El Jadida.
Third and fourth days:
We will continue sailing and, hopefully, fishing for something else. Already by the fourth day we will be at the height of Agadir, in Morocco.
Fifth day:
On the fifth day we will arrive at the island of Alegranza. Hopefully and depending on the schedule, we could spot large cetaceans (I mean whales), since dolphins are usually seen throughout the journey, to have them accompany us across the Atlantic, playing and jumping on our bow.
Sixth day:
The sixth day will be spent on the island of Alegranza; we will anchor in its bay and spend the night there. During the day we will go down to see the island and its host and owner, Kike, who will give us a tour of it. We will visit its small volcano, bathe in its jameo (natural pools) and, with luck, we will catch something in the anchorage and cook it on Kike's barbecue, who will accompany us, will liven up our stay on the island and tell us his story and anecdotes.
Seventh day:
On the seventh day we will arrive at Marina Rubicón, located in the south of the island, in Playa Blanca, and we will conclude our Atlantic adventure aboard the catamaran. After that, you can enjoy a few more days of vacation on land, which is the most recommended thing to take advantage of and explore the entire island of Lanzarote: volcanic corners, colorful markets, hidden villages and many more adventures to enjoy. You can also choose to continue with us on the next voyage, visiting more islands in the Atlantic and heading to Cape Verde.
During the voyage, guards will be carried out for 4 hours a day, consisting of being in control of the ship and observing possible strange elements or changes in the weather, force or direction of the wind. Prior training will be carried out to know how to act in the face of changes, in addition to the need to notify the captain to make appropriate decisions. In general, these guards will be during the day, since the captain will work the night hours, since they require greater concentration. It will also be necessary to collaborate in the kitchen in shifts: each one will have to cook and clean the kitchen alternately.
During the rest hours we can dedicate ourselves to different activities: fishing (equipment is included; you can bring baits such as plastic squid or buy baits on board), reading, recording videos, board games (chess, backgammon, cards or dice), watching movies or series (we have a Samsung Smart TV; we recommend bringing a hard drive to connect it, although you can also connect smartphones, better Android), listen to music (we have Hi-Fi Bluetooth equipment where we can connect our mobile phones), do physical exercise or yoga.
