Boarding: 6:00 p.m.
Disembarkation: 6:00 p.m.
We will develop the official program of official Internships for the Yacht Skipper qualification in a 48-hour, 220-mile voyage, sailing from Valencia towards Ibiza, Formentera and Cabo de la Nao, with 2 night voyages and the students will make the day and night navigation watches in pairs.
We will set sail from Valencia heading directly to Ibiza, where we will anchor on the western coast near the Island of Es Vedra. Later, we will resume sailing to Formentera, crossing the Freus, which are passes that separate the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. We will anchor in a beautiful bay on Espalmador Island, which has a difficult entrance.
We will continue the journey heading to Cabo de la Nao. We will anchor in the bay of Javea and from there we will head towards Valencia.
Each student on board will assume the role of the boat's skipper, and must think and try to solve all the problems and preparations that arise for a Skipper on a high-altitude crossing, with the supervision and instructions of the Instructor.
You will review the boat's critical points and checklist before setting sail. Calculation of fuel, water and provisions. Prepare the route, checking the navigation area, dangers, anchorages and harbors very well on the routes and nautical charts. We will study the weather forecasts to choose the best route and the recommended anchorages.
We will see the safety equipment, the use of self-inflating vests, harnesses and lifelines, and we will do an abandonment drill with the life raft.
We will make day and night calls, identifying the dangers and choosing the best anchorage.
