1ST SOURCE: PORT OF MAHÓN-EAST COAST OF MENORCA-BAY OF FORNELLS (30 NM)
Welcome and boarding in the impressive port of Mahón, one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean, more than six kilometres long, a refuge for ships and the scene of conflicts since the 3rd century BC.
Our sailboat is already stowed and ready to sail, so after settling in, we will get to know the sailboat and have a first WORKSHOP ON GOVERNMENT, SAFETY AND NAVIGATION, delving into the aspects related to government and safety, especially during night navigation.
Once these objectives have been met, we will have a second HIGH-SEA NAVIGATION WORKSHOP, where we will analyse the weather, plan the route and organise the watches and tasks on board.
And finally, we will become familiar with practical maneuvers, both under sail (sails, controls, trim, etc.) and under motor (wind, main and bow thruster, releasing mooring lines and dead lines, etc.).
And now that we are well prepared, at around 11:30 a.m. we will begin our route along the East Coast of Menorca. Throughout our journey, we will take turns keeping watch on the chart, checking the indicators and safety elements every 2 hours.
We will discover the beautiful coves that open up on the east coast of the island up to the emblematic Cape Favarixt. We will sail around Illa d´en Colom, Arenal den Moro, Cala Rambles…, to continue heading north towards Platja d´en Tortuga and Cala Presili where we will drop anchor to eat and enjoy a nice swim in a practically wild environment.
We will continue sailing through some of the most beautiful and unspoiled coves found north of the mythical cape, up to Punta Pantinat: Cala Caldes, S´Arena den Mongrofre and Cala en Brut.
We will also visit the surroundings of Addaia. An impressive natural port which is accessed through a landscape framed by the Illes d'Addaia and the beautiful view of Na Macaret, followed by a beautiful residential area perfectly integrated and a defence tower, built in the English era. A haven of peace, tranquil and harmonious. And then we will sail along the magnificent surroundings of Arenal d'en Castell, Cala de La Olla and Cala Pudent, where we will anchor again to enjoy crystal-clear waters and white sand.
Finally, we will set sail towards the extraordinary bay of Fornels, where we will arrive at dusk after a short but beautiful sail. There we will tie up to a buoy to spend the night, but not before enjoying a nice walk through the town, its lively atmosphere and perhaps trying its famous lobster stew.
2nd SOURCE: FORNELLS BAY-NORTH COAST OF MENORCA-MALLORCA (60 NM)
Today we will get up early to discover the rugged northern coast of Menorca. We will sail at dawn, leaving the emblematic Cavalleria Lighthouse on the port side to head towards Binimel-La Beach and its neighbouring Cala Pregonda, one of the best coves in Menorca where we will have breakfast and snorkel to discover its rich fauna and marine life. Here we will change the white sands for reddish ones and we will see rocky seabeds full of small fish of all kinds, as we will find ourselves in the heart of the Marine Reserve of the north of Menorca, with its most unspoiled and wild environment.
We will then set sail for Cala de Algaiarens, a paradise of fine white sand, bathed by crystal-clear waters where we can once again cool off. And around midday we will begin a spectacular voyage towards Mallorca, arriving at dusk to anchor and spend the night in the impressive bay of Pollensa.
3rd SAILING: POLLENSA BAY-NORTH COAST OF MALLORCA-SOLLER BAY (40 MN)
Today a very special day awaits us along the legendary and rugged Tramuntana coast, the most spectacular on the island of Mallorca.
Early in the morning we will round Cape Formentor, sailing between majestic cliffs towards the beautiful Cala de Sa Calobra, with its famous Torrent de Pareis. There we can take a nice excursion ending at its beautiful beach where we are sure to have a nice swim. Everything invites calm and relaxation in this beautiful place that we will enjoy before sailing again towards another very close paradise, which seems straight out of the Pirates of the Caribbean film. This is the idyllic Cala Tuent where we will anchor to eat between the mountains and the sea.
We will then raise anchor and head towards the charming port of Soller. In the middle of the afternoon we will drop anchor in its emblematic bay and we can go ashore with the tender to enjoy the charm of this well-known town, the atmosphere of its port, its promenade, and perhaps, if we feel like it, have dinner in one of its restaurants. Here we will spend what will surely be an extraordinary night under the stars.
4TH SAILING: SOLLER-NORTH COAST OF MALLORCA-VALENCIA (70 MN)
We will start the day early in the morning sailing towards the neighbouring Cala Deyá where we will have breakfast. A wonderful cove where we can take one of those morning swims that we will never forget.
We will then sail around the Foradada Peninsula, an emblematic place in Mallorca. There we will put the boat to the side to enjoy a good swim in its deep blue waters, before setting off on our long journey to Valencia. We will leave Dragonera Island with its rugged coast on the port side, heading out into open waters.
5TH SAILING: MALLORCA-VALENCIA (75 MN)
During this voyage we will have a new SAILING WORKSHOP to get the maximum performance from our sailboat. We will sail at night under the stars and throughout the day, enjoying a great high-seas journey in which we will surely be able to share many of the anecdotes and experiences of these days.
And after more than 275mn of navigation, we will moor at the Royal Marina of Valencia. Here we will say goodbye to what will surely have been a great shared experience.
